Seemed that when the calendar turned to December the sun came out after our very wet November. With the sun came colder temperatures but to have sun for over a week straight has been very welcome!
Last Saturday we went out to get our tree. We met our friends Ray and Ginny there as they asked me to take some family pictures for them. So Shelby and the kids hunted for the tree while I took a some photos.
Here are the boys with the perfect tree!
Shelby chopped the tree down and they give the thumbs up!
The kids were very excited to decorate the tree this year and the boys showed me their favorite ornaments.
Here is Kyle being goofy again wearing his stocking...
and the tree skirt!...
and our little stocking stuffer!
Later in the evening was the annual Christmas night parade in Langley.
It was a bit cold and thankfully the parade only lasted about 20 minutes.
So now we are well into the season and the kids are quite excited for Christmas as they open their advent calendars each day and countdown to the big day, but they wish they didn't have to wait so long!

November
So it's near the end of November and I haven't blogged in a while. Two reasons for this, one is we have been working on finishing renovating our kitchen and the second reason is I haven't taken many pictures this month. Having 3 weeks of rain didn't help things either.
Just so you have some updated pictures of the boys, here are a few from this month.
Aaron made a scorpion out of Lego
Kyle after eating a meal featuring sour cream
Bubble boy...
Our kitchen is pretty much finished, but not quite! We are still trying to settle on the paint colour and edging that still needs to be done. Here is what the kitchen makeover looks like so far...
A closer view of the back splash and faucet
The Christmas season is pretty much upon us now and the kids are getting excited for the big day. Next weekend we will be getting our tree and hopefully I will update the blog again after that.

Hallowe'en
As our boys have been talking about Hallowe'en for a while now, finally it arrived! We actually don't do too much for Hallowe'en but still they get excited. On Friday the kids dressed up for school. At Kyle's preschool they had their monthly party day where they sing some songs and tell us what they learned during the month. Here are the various characters that came to class that day.
Singing with their shakers
We left carving the pumpkins till the last day and the did their part in the cleaning of the inside of the pumpkin.
Showing off the guts...
Shelby carved the pumpkins as per the kids instructions and then I asked them to make a face similar to their pumpkin faces and this is what they came up with.
After a last minute costume change Aaron wanted to be the jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi. Apparently you have to be serious to be a jedi!
Kyle as you saw earlier was Spiderman, here he is in the full outfit.
The brothers as friends...
and ready for battle!
The boys trick-or-treated for a little while and still collected more candy that we would let them eat, score the rest for the parents!:-)
Aidan, Michael and Keira went with Aaron and Kyle collecting candy for a bit and then they all watched The Jungle Book.
So Hallowe'en wasn't too crazy this year, but the kids enjoyed it and they are already talking about what they want to be next year!?

Fall Carnival
On Sunday afternoon our church held it's annual Fall Carnival. It's basically where the kids can play games and collect candy and to invite their friends. Shelby was feeling a bit under the weather so I took the boys out.
There were about 16 stations for them to make their way around where they collected candy along the way. Here is Aaron at 2 stations....
And Kyle's turn...
Kyle got a T-Rex on his face...
While Aaron got a Gecko...and he found the cotton candy!
Mr Cowboy...with an attitude!
I don't think I have had Keira in the blog for a while, here she is showing off her candy. Keira's mom organized a lot of the event, which went very well, thanks for that E!
Cheese!

It was too bad Shelby couldn't make it out but its really about the kids having fun and they had a good time...next up Halloween!

Viva was helping out at one of the stations at the carnival. She is also 5 months pregnant and doing well with the preganacy, we wish them all the best!

Painted faces
On Saturday we went to the Cranberry Festival in Fort Langley. It was a nice day for the festival. Overall we didn't find that much interesting but the kids were really interested in getting their faces painted. They remember last year getting their faces painted by Jennifer H and this year we probably waited close to an hour to get their faces painted.
Can you guess what Kyle wanted to be?...
A tiger!
Then it was Aaron's turn....
Blue spiderman! (I'm not really sure who blue spiderman really is?)
The boys hanging out with Jerome the Gnome
Hanging out at the Fort Langley Community Hall
While we were waiting for the kids to get their faces painted, this dog came along, I don't think I really need to comment on this.
