At Aaron and Kyle's birthday party the boys painted their own T-shirts. I was impressed at how well they did and they were even creative! We did help a bit, a little touch-up here and there and helped with placing the stencils, but really the kids did it themselves.
I can't remember who did every shirt, but I know the first one was Aaron and the next one is Kyle. After that is Aidan and then Michael(I think)and so on. Maybe it's just me, but I thought they did a great job!

Aaron and Kyle's Birthday Party
On Saturday was Aaron's 6th birthday and we had his party as well. Since Kyle's friends are the siblings of Aaron's friends it was Kyle's birthday party too! They wanted an all boys party and here is the crew.
The theme of the party was sharks! They played shark type games but I can't remember the names of the games.
And Aaron wanted a shark cake
Kyle wanted a Jello car cake, doesn't quite fit with the theme, but that's what he wanted.
Michael feasting on cheezies
Present opening time!
The boys all had fun at their party. One part of their party included painting T-shirts, I thought they did a great job with them. I did take some pictures of them and I will post them in the next post.

Weekend at Hemlock
It's been over a year since we have been to our cabin at Hemlock, so we went as a family this past weekend. On Saturday it snowed ALL DAY! The boys and I went out to play in the snow, sledding down the road and finding 'cliffs' to throw the kids down into the powder. OK well they weren't really cliffs just steep embankments, but the boys called them cliffs...just boys having fun:-)
Here is Kyle before we went outside
Here are a few shots of the boys in the snow, well mostly Kyle...
Later on Saturday we played a few games like charades and Uno. Both the boys really like to play Uno now. Here is Kyle playing dominoes with googles on. I am not sure why he thought that would be a good idea.
On Sunday morning we awoke to sunshine and Aaron and I went skiing. Aaron is really starting to be able to ski on his own which is cool to see. I took some video of Aaron skiing so I should upload that soon. It was a nice weekend to get away with the family as it's Shelby's last full weekend before she heads off on her trip.

A visit with Auntie and Unc Unc
So I haven't blogged too much this year, but thankfully our sister-in-law Sara has been.
This past weekend Aaron and Kyle had a weekend sleepover visit at Auntie Sara and Uncle Jamie's place. The kids had a fun time. You can read about what they did and see some pictures at their blog here.
Meanwhile Shelby and I got to enjoy a day to ourselves in Vancouver. We did some shopping and a lot of walking around. We went to an IMAX show and had kind of planned a nice dinner together. Once we figured out when the IMAX show was it didn't leave a lot of time for dinner, is sharing a plate of Chinese food from a food court considered romantic? Regardless it was nice to have little 'getaway' on our own, so thank-you Jamie and Sara for taking ourkids, I mean hams.
